What is the customary tipping rate for the bathroom attendant at the Waffle House? How will my date be impressed by my big spending if I have to tip in the mens room out of her sight?

Waffle House doesn't have a bathroom attendant, that guy's just a perv.

You can usually stop with a $20 tip. Just hand it to the first guy you see standing outside the Waffle House restroom. That's the attendant. He may look drunk and smell like he hasn't bathed in three weeks, but that's just part of the Waffle House mystique. If, after you hand him the $20, he takes you into a stall for further service, then you'll have to tip him again. If you're worried about your date not seeing the transaction, drag her in there with you. She'll understand.
