Isn't it creepy that a lobbyist would consider running for President?

p.s. As well as raising money for Libby's perjury defense fund?

I'm interested in all this hoopla over Fred Thompson. I know the Republicans have been desperately waiting for a candidate that actually has a shot at beating the Democrats in '08 and they think Fred is the one.

He may be the one to unite them, but I'm not so sure he can deliver the White House for them. I watched him on Hannity & Colmes the other day and he's an interesting guy. Trouble is, he's basically cut from the same cloth as Bush, though even more right wing. Is offering up a candidate that carries the same right wing message going to attract the moderates and Independents who handed the Congress to the Democrats because they were disgusted with this Administration's policies? I really think if the Republicans want a real chance they need a candidate with a fresh message. People are tired of the one they've been getting for the last six years.

He's also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. And the CFR have a goal of a North American Union.

If he or any of the Major front runners was to become President. Since they all belong to the CFR they will form the North American Union..

Do you know how many paid lobbyists there are doing double-duty as the Chairmen of state Democratic Parties? Check around. You'll faint.

I've been an activist in both parties. There are lobbyists all around us. Promoting your cause has become as American as Apple Pie -- it has become a profession people are paid to do for non-profit as well as for-profit corporations.

Just because someone IS or HAS worked as a lobbyist does not make him evil.
