what is the legal length that a knife can be in fairfax county virginia if carried on your person in public?

i need to know what the legal length that a knife can be if you're carrying it in your pocket or on your belt in public, in fairfax county virginia. my friend claims its 3 inches, but that seems too short to for me to believe.

It is UNDER 3.5 inches. If it is 3.5 inches or longer, it is illegal.

This is a myth, there is no length law in Virginia, nor in Fairfax COunty is there any mention of any knife laws or restrictions. Check the Code, no mention of knives at all. Only concealment and non concealment laws
