the poem is: "it's like clockwork they say
the way we strut down the street all meary and gay
never ever stoping to think of loved ones sad and gray
for as there is no I in team there is no A in way
even though we anticepate another day."

it's got the meaning of something i once wrote...blinded by their light...the blindness off society, looking past others who live below and unhappier than they are, simply because its easier to be selfish and naive

These people are creatures of habit and do what they want to do despite who gets hurt. They are not family or friend oriented. No "I " in team stands for selfishness. As the gang walks down the street they aren't thinking beyond that moment ; or it's consequences in any way. They truly believe no matter what happens that there will always be tomorrow.

I guess that in a sense it sums up our everyday lives. We have only a limited amount of time on this planet, ticking by each minute we waste, and not remembering those most improtant to us is horrible. Sometimes we sit around dwelling on what tomorrow will bring when in reality tomorrow may never come. Our time could end now and what would we have to show for it. Nothing. Unless we took the time to make the important things important and the unimportant things unimportant.

The first part makes it sound like we're all so caught up in ourselves, we don't have time think of others. Like 'less fortunate' people. At the part, ya lost me... but I think the basic concept is that we, or adult specifically, or plain rich stuck-up self centered people don't bother to think of others.

To be honest it goes with something I've noticed time 'n again. Something I'm very disappointed to know is happening... People will act kind and caring, giving and thankful 'n whatever during the Holiday season. But once January comes along, it's right back to our old ways...

Sad really...

Society lives in the moment too much without taking time to realize how important our time here is. People don't look to the past enough and are caught in an endless cycle of mistakes and shallowness that has been around since the beginning of the human race. Some people's "way" of life is oblivious to those suffering around them and they are caught up in "anticipating" their own successful futures and selfish desires.

At least, that's what I got out of it. I hope that helps. ^_^

As a poet I took it that even though time goes by so fast we don't see it going by.But you are staying happy through each new day!"You have to realize when you write it can mean a million different things to anyone"Only you can know what it truly means,by the way you felt when you wrote it!

In youth, we are happy and don't stop to think about what must come in the distant future of our lives. We don't make sense. Then, as we mature, we start to plan for what lies ahead.

In my humble opion, it means that to be selfish you don't just have to worried all about you. Slefishness can simply be being caught up in your own little fantasy world and not noticed those who need help.

may be that people don't think about there family and they kind of forget about them but it doesn't worry them because they feel they will have more time to rebuild the relationship
