It seems to me you're looking for something really practical but that provenly works. Am I right? Well, I will share with you one my secrets that I only share with my high-blood pressure patients:
Have her drink this juice twice a day (in the morning, upon awakening, and in the afternoon at 6 pm):
Combine Parsley, Cucumber, Grapefruit juice (home made--4 oz), Lemon juice (1 oz), and Noni juice (3 oz). Make it up to 18 oz in total. Don't add any water to it, nor ice or sweetener. With this juice she will have to take 1 tab of Magnesium-500 mg, and 2 tabs of Kyolic (buy it in any health food store).
And if you really want this to work flawlessly in her, DON'T LET HER HAVE DINNER. And, please, no coffee and no soda.
Let me know how she did, but I already know what the outcome will be.
Good luck! :)

Normal blood pressure is around 120/80 mm of Hg (Mercury) for a healthy person. There is no safe limit beyond normal. Any value other than normal should be a reason for taking care.
If continuously, the systolic and diastolic pressure excelled the limit of 140/90, a human being is said to have high blood pressure. She needs medical care values higher than 160/95 are placed in the danger zone.

Low sodium diet and regular aerobic exercise are the usual method for lowering BP without drugs (herbs are included in this!).
If this doesn't work she needs to see a doctor who can, if necessary, prescribe medication. Don't mess around with alternative methods like the drink concoction mentioned. Blood pressure is affected by stress, true, but there can also be other underlying causes that need to be addressed. An MD is the only one who has the knowledge and training to make a safe assessment. Stay away from quackery if you want your mother's condition to improve.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

The answer from the RN is great. Remember your mom should work with a physician as well. Your mom would benefit from nutritional supplements to allow for an overall increase in diatery supplementation. With a daily regime her body would combat daily stress levels and immune system would receive a boost too. Along with blood pressure, she may have higher levels of cholesterol and triglicerides that may need a focus on reduction as well. This type of nutritional program would help her in dealing and acheiveing success in this area. Good luck.

There are different natural supplements that your mother can use. I am a distributor for a natural nutrition company, and we have all-natural supplements that are proven to help regulate blood pressure. A single product that is highly recommended is our Garlic Complex. To quote from the description of this product in my company's product guide, "Studies show that garlic promotes cardiovascular health by helping to retain normal blood pressure and cholesterol levels when used as part of a diet low in fat and cholesterol." I would also recommend getting your mother on good vitamins and drinking a soy protein drink daily; this will help to get her whole body into the best condition that it can be in.

high blood pressure can be caused by improper diet, stress, lack of sleep, or genetic in origin. if it is caused by improper diet, you could cut down on fat, increase vegetables, eat oatmeal everyday for breakfast (eating oatmeal for breakfast has been proven to lower high blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels in two weeks. Guaranteed!.) Increase of good fatty acids found in fish that will counter act the build up of cholesterol in her arteries and if she can exercise even just walk for 30 min. a day would make a big difference.goodluck!

The best thing you can do for your Mom is Do NOT cause her any Stress or Anxiety. Changing her Diet will help alot also. I have high BP and theses are the things my doctor has told me to do. They did work for awhile but as I got older, they were not as effective and so I am now on Pills for HP daily. They do help, but I try Not to worry so much anymore and avoid Stress.
