Corruption, because it concentrates nearly all the wealth in the hands of just a few at the top.
Lack of education, because without it the people are unable to progress from the sorry states they are in for the most.
Lack of charity. The third world receives billions in aid from around the world, yet rich people who live in third world countries prefer to keep all their money for themselves. The leaders of third world countries rely on (mostly western) foreign countries to look after their own people while they spend more money on themselves, their friends and the army.

Disease, lack of food/malnutrition, lack of education, lack of technology, and so on. These are some of the most troubling problems for developing nations because when people cannot even meet their basic needs they cannot focus on improving their lives. The reasons for each problem vary from corruption to poor living environments. The more numerous and extensive the problem is, the less stable the country. This is a problem because when a county is unstable it can fall into war, come into the hands of warlords, or cease to exsist and reform as a new one.

Why three? There are many. Colonisation for long by Western countreis and exploitation of labour and wealth by them during the last two centuries, continuing exploitation by Imperialists in the form of globalisation, MNCs occupying local markets, destruction of indigenous production, Terms and conditions of funding agencies such as World Bank and IMFs, American hegemony on their politics, creation of conflicts in the region for imperialist's arms race, and lastly population which is contributed by illiteracy and unemployment.

Crumbling infrastructure, crippling debts that are higher than the foreign aid they receive, military spending that is higher than their health and education budget, high import taxes by rich countries, high subsidies for food produced in rich countries, dropping prices for its products and mounting prices for the machines and spare parts it needs.
