...I agree that they should take this one up to the task...and this time, do it right!!!
A while back, ABC tried to do a modern contemporary version of "Kolchak: The Night Stalker"; it was quite short lived, and did not even begin to hold a candle to the original. The 'reinvented' series strayed away from the supernatural edge that made the original series so great (and an inspiration for Chris Carter to later do "The X-Files"), and concentrated on pursuing serial killers; it also gave us a brooding characterization of Kolchak, who had definate personal issues to contend with.
...so, I reinerate....Hey, Hollywood!!! Let's do "Night Stalker" right, this time spring-boarding off of what made the original series so great.

I watched it before it became a rerun! I was small then, scared the heck out of me, but I watched anyway, liked it. I have heard it is now out on DVD, it is on my list to get.

I loved it and have it on DVD. It was just scary enough and had really good comic relief. The one with the zombie scared me when I first saw it.

I loved that show. I miss all the older T.V. shows. There is so much violence now. Mind you there are some good ones, but not that many. In my opinion anyway.
