I'm a straight man and I have a couple friends that are gay. I can tell you that this is because they are beauty, cleanliness, and fashion freaks. Gay guys are some of the cleanest most groomed people in the world. They like to feel beautiful and create beauty and thus the beauty and fashion industry...... You can verify this with most women who know some gay men.... Ladies love Gay Guys.....

^ I'm a straight woman and years ago I worked as a hair cutter most of the people I worked with were male and gay, very few straight men.
I don't know many straight men that get into these fields whether it's haircutting, beauty or fashion.
Most straight men that cut hair call themselves barbers, I guess they think it's more masculine.
There are straight men in these business's but I think, it takes a strong man, whose not afraid what others think and are not homo fobs to be in these professions.

I think it makes sense because many gay men STUDY STUDY STUDY fashion and glamour. It's not cliche, it's just good sense. They know what they are talking about.

Who would know hair and make up to attract the opposite sex better. A man knows what a man looks for as sexy. And he also knows how to apply it because he is probably used to sprucing up himself.
