If you mean "Sonic the Hedgehog", then his real name is "Sonic the Hedgehog", as given by SEGA.
"Tails"' real name is "Miles Prower" because of an internal dispute in the creative team, while they finally chosen "Tails" as the default name, "Miles Prower" (Miles Per Hour) become his real name in order to fit in both names.
As for Sonic's family line.
There are a few Hedgehogs with similiar last name, "Shadow the Hedgehog" and "Silver the Hedgehog". Shadow is from the past and is not related to Sonic, but he might have been based on Sonic's ancestor. Silver is from the future and his lineage is not fully revealed, but he might be Sonic's descendant.
Many of the characters in the Sonic games usually have "the" in their family / last names ("the Rabbit", "the Echidna", "the Bat", etc). In real life, people in many parts of the world also have "the" prefix or something similiar in their family / last names, they also sometimes have animal based names.

I think that sonic is his real name. yes he has a brother and sister along with having a mom as well.
