I haven't actually tried this product but I saw it in HEB. Where they sell the little clothes dyeing bottles (near the laundry detergent) there's one that I think prepares your clothes for dyeing closest to the desired color. It's called color remover. You might want to check that out because bleach will really do some wear and tear to your materials. Good luck!

Oxyclean can help, but bleach is best. In far, far olden times, people used to leave their sheets and white clothes out in the sun (spread across bushes) to bleach them, but that's a lot of trouble.

Wash them early on a sunny day and hang them outside on a clothesline. The sun will naturally bleach out many stains.

There is an old product that my mother and grandmother used called bluing and it really did the trick. Also if you can hang your wash outside on a line that is also a great natural bleach trick.

I use oxi clean and that helps. RIT makes a product that helps brighten your whites. You can fined it in the dyes around the laundry products at wal mart.

Oxi-clean helps whiten. The biggest secret to bright whites is to double rinse your load.
