Not all of these are "near" me, but they're all endemic to areas of Florida, and all off the top of my head.

key deer, Titusville balm (a member of the mint family, found only in Brevard county), the Key Largo cotton mouse, Florida scrub jay, ah, there's more, but I gotta go to work....

The San Francisco Garter snake. Pretty much confined to the peninsula.
