Ability to promote a sense of community within a diverse group.
Understanding group dynamics
Do all of the above on the world stage as part of the Internet information age
Honest and trustworthy.
Give employees satisfactory salaries and benefits along with keeping his/her own compensation package straight forward and realistic.
Ability to be transparent in all company communications with employees, consumers, boards of directors, etc.

I think the current skills expected of a leader are still not forthcoming in many areas, so perhaps the future will continue to need leaders who have :
