I do not think the first love can be forgotten . According to my experience ,I can not forget my first love ,now almost 24 years .However the time i passed with my first love I remember it as it was today .All the memory of her is vivid as a day sun light . I was 11th grade and I was 17 years .she had 16 years old and she live in my zone of Asmara . I saw hear one afternoon and talked to her . I was stroke by love . Since then I can never forget her . Her face her voice even her soul . They remained with me as my part of entity .
We were together for three years . We had good times . We had loved and loved . But in my first year at the university ,the family of her interrupted the love . They obliged her to marry other man . She went to other country . I was sad ,since then I could not love a woman as much as I love her . I remember her always these 24 years .
After 15 years I saw her in the city with three children .I called her and we saw each other and talked for ten minute . I cried I felt like my wound again opened . She too cried as a child in those ten minute . I can not forget her still . She is my first love and my unique twine of my soul . In my hard time I remember her and so in my joy .

No. We were such good friends. I saw him about 12 years ago and we picked up talking and talking as if we had been next door to each other for the 20 years we hadn't heard from each other. I always enjoyed our friendship because that was what the whole thing it was based on. He seems to have a good family and has been successful. I was happy to hear about it, but it wasn't like I was still holding a torch. I was just happy to talk to him. I think the remembering si so sweet because of the innocence of being young and nothing in life has hurt you yet.

I could definitely forget my first kiss. That was so horrible. My first real love is still in progress after nearly two years. I didn't really love the others not like this one. I hope it will be my only real love. He is the first I have committed to in any way. We are moving in together next week. He is moving country for me.

Yes. First love happens when most of us are immature and it is more like an infatuation in the guise of love which we cannot differentiate at that point in time. Some even die for it before letting it mature. But if you get true love in your life, you are truely blessed and will never ever forget it even if the he is no more alive..........He will live with you forever.

Omg so weird you ask this! I was just thinking of my first love the other day and that was back in 1987! *gasp* Suddenly I feel very old. heh
God, those are some good memories. I lost my virginity to that guy. The breakup was bad, but the good memories that were shared by us are heightened--in my mind--by the bad ending. I do still wonder from time to time if he thinks of me too.
Thanks for bringing this up.

Of course. Until I saw your question, I hadn't thought about it in ages.
Choosing to think about someone from the past is to stay anchored to the past and lose the enjoyment from today and the potential that exists in the current moment.
It is a form of "clinging" to the past. When you're ready, you'll let go of the past and move on. You'll find someone else, or something else to think about.
I wouldn't torment myself with coulda, shoulda, woulda.

NO! There is First Love, True Love, and The Love your with. Most never have it all in one. A lot never have any. Always remember all that will guide you and you will be suprised that you will be suprised. And disappointed. And suprised. Eventually, you will learn that all were actually your teachers to yourself and will find all in one.

My first love? Well, he was convenient ... I don't think it was love, to be honest. I think it was one of my subtle acts of teenage rebellion, I was something of a 'Good Girl' and while he wasn't a 'Bad Boy', my mother thought he was the town loser, and that was bad enough for me!
I run into him from time to time and the years of heavy drinking and smoking have taken their toll, he looks terrible now.
