Yes, that was almost better than realing the damn thing in though. We used to keep adding strings on and next thing you knew several hours went past and everyone would get called to come in the house and there would be a couple of us stuck realing it in and it would take forever to get it down. We would end up having to use a garden stake or broom handle to account for all the string. That kite would be a speck. Do kids even fly kites nowadays?????

Yes I was flying my space shuttle way up high & then it lost its tail & crashed landed. I recovered the kite but the tail was gone!

absolutely! That's what I aimed to do. Then I would grab my sisters kite string, tie it off on mine and fly it even higher!
