Is it normal sometimes for a motorcycle to not start up right away? I don't know how to put it. I guess like sound like its not turning over or something like like?

Step 1:- Put bike in neutral

Step 2:- If starting the bike for the first time (or has been really cold) pull the choke lever out (or if you have a little slide r, slide it so the choke is on)

Step 3:- Check your kill switch is on; so you start the bike

Step 4:- Place your key in the ignition and turn to start.

Step 5:- Hit the start button and bike should start.

Step 2 can be avoided if the bike has been running or been used for a spell
Also if you don’t have your bike in neutral or the kill switch on then the bike won’t start (won’t even turn over)also make sure you haven’t had the lights on for so long that the battery has died otherwise you will either be up to jump starting or replacing your battery (and if the battery is old then that might be a reality to face).

There is a lever on the handlebars you need to hold in when you kick start a motorcycle. If this isn't fully in, then it might not turn over because nothing is engaged. You can have the shop check to make sure the lever is properly adjusted.

If it is electric start, you could have a component problem.

Check your kill switch on the handlebar. Also, check and make sure it's in neutral.

Not much to go on but you might have to choke it.
