It can be difficult stopping as anything that feels good is hard to give up. What you should know is anything done too much is not good for you. If you continue you may never reach out to others and start interacting socially and sexually as you will be at home all the time, masturbating.

Try to be more active on other things. Go out more. Interact with others. Start a hobby. Find a part time job. There is so much more to life than just masturbation.

If you do it 3 to 7 times a week and it is not interfering with school or work, yoru social life or your participation in activities (sports and otherwise) then why stop. Masturbation is both healthy and natural and contributes to reducing frequency of wet dreams, keeps you in touch with yoru own sexual responses, reduces the risk of prostate cancer, etc. As well, it is pretty hard to get anyone pregnant or transmit STD's via masturbation.

So maybe you want to think twice about deciding to stop what is actually good for you.

Why are you trying to stop yourself from masturbating? Therr is nothing wrong with it and no it has no effect on sex or sexual function. Exercising does nothing to make you less horny. And push ups and sit ups and stuff like that doesn't count as exercise. Just masturbate, its healthy and natural. -Connor

Why would you want to stop? It feels so good, and it's not bad for you. Unless you're doing it like 10 times a day, then that's bad. If you really want to stop, then just focus on other things. Whenever you want to do it, just go and do something else that takes concentration.

masturbation is in a sense, almost like a drug, it sopposedly gives you a high (? sorry, i dont masturbate) so, like with drugs, you have to slowly make yourself less dependent on it. So, make a plan, for one week, do it every day, the next week, do it every other day, the next week do it every two days, and so on..........

just make sure you stick to your plan! if you cheat even once, you'll never be able to give it up!

Slowly allow yourself to stop. Don't go cold turkey. it doesn't work
