Yes I saw it. Still to be seen whether all of this is just publicity.

And fartica, she was not jailed for driving with a suspended license. She was jailed for violation of parole. She was given warnings, then her license was suspended. She was then place on probation which she continued to violate. She continuously flaunted the law. That is why the judge was so adamant that she learn her lesson by actually serving time. No lesser punishment had so far had any effect on her behavior.

The judge who sentenced Paris specifically said "no electronic monitering device" and ordered she serve her full sentence. It looks as if the la sherrifs dept is going to be in some heat!

She is not really getting off easy. She will receive more society wide punishment from this than serving her time in jail.
Her offense was not very extreme, she drove on a suspended license. People want her to suffer because of her personality not her offense.
She was not released, she was changed to a different confinement at a full sentence. She is now under the media eye more at home, so she will not be able to enjoy herself.
A normal person would have not been put in confinement, they would have been put in a social environment. She spent 3-4 days like a death row inmate.
All in all the city saved money on security from the media, and the workers in the jail can return to normal schedule with out having to be harassed by the media when they leave and come to work. Also the tone of the environment inside will be much better with her gone.
Except for those who hate her and want her to suffer, i think this was a win for everyone involved. She drove on a suspended license, that is the scope of what she is serving time for, the media scrutiny is not something any other person would suffer. She will get her just due in the end!

this was her 2ND DUI...IN CALIFORNIA YOU GET 3 CHANCES...AND SHE IS ON STRIKE 2...

NOT TO MENTION SHE HAD A SUSPENDED LICENSE WHEN #2 HAPPENED...

THEN SHE TROLLOPED INTO COURT AS IF THE WORLD OWED HER A LIVING AND PISSED OFF THE JUDGE!!

SHE EARNED EVERYTHING SHE GETS..AND WITH ANY LUCK IT'LL GET WORSE FOR HER...

FOR YOU OR ME TO DO THIS..WOULD BE 6 MONTHS OF JAIL TIME AND YOU WOULD NOT SEE A DAY LESS THAN 5 MONTHS EVEN WITH GOOD BEHAVIOR!!!!

And they should ALL be held in contempt, thrown in jail, and lose their jobs too...what kind of justice was that?

Thank God somebody still works for the legal system with an ounce of integrity left.
