Definitely, yes. Yellow bulbs are the best for reducing, if not totally eliminating flying pests. There will not even be dead ones laying around under light fixtures or dirtying them up. Go for the gold...uh..the yellow.

Yes, yellow bulbs work great so do the ultra violet lights the reduce flying and biting bugs like magic.

Yes the bugs can see the light in the white spectrum, but don't see the light in the yellow spectrum as well, so they aren't as easily attracted to yellow light.

insects respond more to the spectrums of light in a white light.
yellow light bulbs lack these spectrums and that is why they are promoted to not attract BUGS
