I never purposely kill bugs, although walking outside it's impossible to not. Yeah, people kill them because they are "not cute" ....... there are people who are "not cute"............ And EVERY creature feels fear. You intrude on an ant hill, the ants run, they are protecting out of fear. This is mostly why I don't eat meat, I don't want to eat a creature whose last emotion was utter fear.

I think it is cruelty for someone to go around and deliberately kill things for no reason. Everyone has stepped on an ant, there isn't any way around it, until you live on the moon or a space station this will still happen from time to time.
When it comes to exterminating pests, I think it is necessary in order to maintain health, examples are mosquitoes that carry disease and bugs that destroy crops. This can include for germs that cause people to get sick.
The other reason is to rid a home of bugs like roaches and termites. You would argue that these have a right to live since they aren't dangerous to humans in some way but they are causes for making a place undesirable to live in so it is the right of the owners/tenants to do away with them.

I don't kill bugs I pick them up in a napkin and I put them outside. I think you make a good point. I mean I think Cats are just as annoying as bugs but they all have a purpase other wise would they be here. I got another question why do people only kill brown bugs think about it if you see a butterfly you say o look pretty. Or a ladybug people say theres a pretty lady bug. When people see a criket or a spider they say ewwwww kill it kill it. I'm not saying that you should kill all the bugs or even kill them at all. I'm just saying we as humans are still a little barbaric and like to kill/outcast what we don't find plesent.

It's not okay to kill bugs. People just don't care when others kill bugs because, yes, they can be annoying, and yes, there are a lot of them. That doesn't make it okay. We've all done it, and just that makes it seem like so much less of a bad thing. It's like sticking your gum under the table or not returning your cart to the specified areas. Everyone does it.

I agree with you--to a point. I'm not saying there's a right and a wrong here but there are some insects, like mosquitoes I don't mind killing--especially if you look at it through a health viewpoint and what can be spread.
I voiced that same concern to a co-worker one time and her exact words were, "I used to be like that...until I got therapy" so I tend to keep it to myself.
In college religion class I read of some cultures that walk in such a way to avoid stepping on any crawling insect.
It's just what you believe...and act upon...and that basically determines who we are.

You are correct. People disregard bugs etc because they aren't cute. It seems like the offensiveness of bugs somehow grants them license to kill them and they assume others feel the same and will be happy that the bug was killed.
They lack compassion my friend - but you do not. Your compassion does you honor so do not be afraid to speak up when someone does something like that.

No, by law it is okay to kill bugs. But God's created everything on purpose, and yes even the mosquitoes. We may not know what some bugs, arthropods, and macro invertebrates do, but God does. I always try to avoid bugs I don't like rathre than kill them.

why?... first of all there is no god... learning more about all this science crap about the universes and space, there is NO WAY such things could happen... second we can kill bugs because they overpopulate the earth by more than 50000 times everything else on the planet... that is why we can kill them... and also they are hazardous to us... such as mice .. they get into your house and are hazardous to the living of humans... once something puts a human life in danger our life is more important than theirs and therefore we can kill them... for lizards well, they populate us more than we do them...

i assume it fairly is via fact bugs are actual born in great parts, and human beings do no longer evaluate a malicious program's existence whilst killing them. in addition they get in our way, and now and returned could be bumped off. whilst they're achieved serving their objective (alongside with ladybugs), they get into families and can be exterminated. additionally, human beings are our very own style. As creatures pushed via concept fairly than intuition, it fairly is against our nature to kill one yet another, frequently.

I think most people do that because they believe that size does matter. In a way it is sort of like the food chain. It's competition. But it is cruel. I agree with you. I don't like spiders but I don't kill them; they are animals too.
