Cant you take a usb cord and plug it to a modem and wii and connect to the web?

You will need a special usb adapter, made by nintendo, to connect the modem and the wii. If you have a wireless router, you will not need a usb cord. :)

you can use the wii wifi adapter you plug into the USB port on your PC and it will use your pc's broadband to connect.
