I can't decide which style that you like more. Only you could figure that out.
I also have tons of tapes and CDs. I love blues, jazz, classic rock, Christian contemporary, classic R&B, some country. The best attitude is just listen to a different music genre for your different moods. Thats what I do. Lately its been mostly jazz for me.
My favorite jazz people are John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Larry Carlton, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Paul Desmond, Billie Holliday, Miles Davis, John McLaughlin, Alan Holdsworth, The Crusaders ...
My favorite blues people are Mike Bloomfield, Roy Buchanan, Paul Butterfield, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Johnson, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert King, Charlie Musselwhite, Buddy Guy, Little Walter, Otis Spann, Bonnie Raitt ...

The music I like to listen to the most is jazz in particular Smooth Jazz but I also enjoy listening to a bit of Blues depending on who the artist. And one that I've heard that I really like is Dr John.

Ask yourself. It depends on your taste and feel. You've got a good taste though. Jazz and blues are both great genres in music. Incidentally, jazz is rooted in the blues and both are improvisational so they are basically the same. If you'd ask me, I like 'em both.
