if she doesnt already have involvement with court.. she needs to get stuff drawn up and state in the court order that neither one degrades the other parent in front of the children. each has to foster a good relationship between the kids and the other parent. other than that - nothing can be done. with that in writing, at least gives her something to stand on.
as for stalking - my x husband's new g/f - recently wife, use to go around my work area and out past my house on her way home from work. my atty said although its out of her way to do this - develop a hard shell. until she stops and says something to me or follows me somewhere - i can't do anything about it. if she'd follow me - then i have to call and tell the police that a car is following me.
its a shame what innocent people have to go through and its a shame what the kids are subjected too and unfair. your daughter just needs to calmly straighten out the lies when they come to her attention and if she has a chance without kids around - call him on it and confront him about it. other than that - 'keep her nose clean' so that there is nothing for them to find and he'll eventually get caught in it all.

Get a restraining order. Every time he violates it take his picture and call the police. She can tell the children the truth and they will be able to see for themselves what the truth is no matter what he says. Tell her to always be on her guard and looking behind her back. Advise her not to say anything to him while he is accusing her. Just go in the house and ignore him. Call the police and report him for violating the restraining order. Her and the children should seek counseling and you too.
