Not that much to simplify. (t/3)^2 is the same as
(t * t )/(3 * 3). So you can wind up with t^2/9

Since you have (t/3) in parenthesis and the exponent outside these parenthesis, then by definition (t/3)^2 = (t^2)/(3^2) = (t^2)/9. There you go! Hope this helps.

Hi,
Remember, the exponent is telling you how many times you should be multiplying the base, t / 3. So, therefore you can set up the problem as follows:
(t / 3)(t / 3) = (t^2) / 9
Answer: (t^2) / 9
I hope that helps you out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Sincerely,
Andrew
