Don't fret over it. Justice isn't the sole province of mankind, and it does manifest itself. We'd be in a horrible state if we had to exclusively depend on government.

the current system of prisons is insufficient. the prisons should be in tents in the desert, and the prisoners should WORK at a trade to have something to do when they get out. sitting around doing nothing all day is not rehabilitation for anything.

Psychology. The preservation for property is obvious, but psychology is the punishment.
