My laptop seems to be running quite slow too... could it be a sign of a virus or something?

No, that's IE's bad capability. It is the browser, not your laptop. I suggest you get Mozilla Firefox, considered one of the most popular and best browser out there. Mozilla Firefox can be found here:

If you believe you have viruses, then get AVG Anti-Virus free at:

Because you are accessing (or trying to access) a page with some dud script in it..

The clue is in 'This page'.. It's not all pages..

Empty your temporary internet files manually and run a virus check.. You'll be fine..

In the meantime just answer no to the question... The script is bad..

Open your web browser (Internet Explorer) and click "Tools" and then "Internet Options. Now click the "Advanced" tab. Under 'Browsing, remove the check mark from "Display a notification about every script error".
