To stop international terrorists from creating chaos, taking down the Iraqi government and in the ensuing lawlessness make Iraq into a huge training ground for terrorists to learn the trade and come to America to kill us.

Good reason? The only one I can come up with is trying to stop ethnic cleansing and to try to minimize the influence of Iran in the shaping of the new government. Other than that, our boys are just in harms way of what will be a very brutal civil war in which we have no vested intrest in the outcome.

The war is over. We are there to try and keep the peace while the newly elected Iraqi government gets on it's feet and can defend itself. There are all kinds of opponents to freedom and democracy, just waiting for us to leave so they can get there hand on this fragile state, take it over, make it a haven for terrorist and extremist Moslem's, who hate and want to destroy Israel and the United States and all there allies, including France and other liberal counties in Europe.

there isn't one.......we shouldn't have went over there in the first place.......i agree that saddam needed to be out of power, but isn't that what a CIA assassin is for?.....had we done things that way we wouldn't have lost any troops, we wouldn't have the blood of innocent Iraqi's on our hands, we wouldn't be in the middle of their cival war, we would've been able to help katrina victims faster, and most importantly we could be spending all this money and lives on looking for the real person who leveled our towers and still remains the biggest threat to the US-----bin laden

To complete their mission, not tuck-tail, and run, like in Vietnam. America had a hard time recovering herself, after Vietnam. We can't do it again. God Bless the Troops, and thank you!
