...don't know if it counts as a "Jaws" movie, but the best-selling novel, "Meg" is being produced as a feature film.
...release date still unannounced, though it IS supposedly slated for 2008 release....probably summer; stay tuned at the attached webpage; they're pretty reliable about announcing release dates...

i wouldnt look for a sequel ,however a remake would be more likely and honestly they could do a killer remake of Jaws with todays Technology-the shark could look very real indeed today
