so we are now policing the world huh? You really need to study the history of our involvement in middle eastern affairs before you start spouting such non-sense. Why don't you first answer the question of what you would do if the US were invaded by a foreign army?
I am not democrat or republican I have a brain and use it to make decisions based on the the facts not the propaganda put out by the corporate controlled media.

Burry the CIA report, act surprised when the attack happens.

Pass universal health care, raise the minimum wage, grant Amnesty to illegals, raise taxes on the rich, especially the evil corporations that profiteered durring the war. Nationalize the oil companies to provide gasoline at a more reasonable price (subsidised by taxpayer dollars). All this will send the message to the American people that what's happening in Iraq and Europe doesn't threaten them.

Provide leadership (and money) to the UN to proactively empower the peoples of the muslim world to address the root issues of violence in thier part of the world. Support UN sanctions against Iran if it uses a nuclear weapon. Re-enter the ABM treaty and dismantle the 'missle shield' so that potential enemies do not feel the need to persue nuclear proliferation to deter attacks by the US.

Negotiate directly with the wronged peoples of the world who have resorted to terrorism, to address thier greivances and get them to stop acting out violently. Demonstrate our respect for other cultures and religions, particularly Islam, through legislation at home and foriegn policy abroad.

You scenario is flawed. Iran supports the Sunni's, not the "terrorists". When we leave, Iran will probably take over after bloody slaughter and will sit a Sunni dictator on the seat of power and a religious leader at his right hand. That's the way it is in Iran. And Al-Qaeda will have to find another home.

Hyperbolic conjecture, it would make for a good book of fiction and that is about it.
