we can write the question as an equation:
3/5(x+1)-1/2x=3

Let's distribute in the 3/5
3/5x+3/5-1/2x=3

Let us now combine the xs by finding the lowest common denominator and changing the fractions. The lowest common denominator is 10. 5 x2 =10 which means we need to multiply the top of the 3/5 by 2 as well. 3/5-->6/10 and -1/2--> -5/10

We now have:
6/10x+3/5-5/10x=3

6/10-5/10=1/10 so...

1/10x + 3/5=3

Now we subtract 3/5 from each side

1/10x = 12/5 (or 2 and 2/5)

Then we multiply both sides by 10.

x=120/5

We simplify and find that
x=24 that means that our consecutive integer (x+1)=25

Therefore your integers are 24 and 25

Let the integers be x and x + 1.
Then:
(3/5)(x + 1) - (1/2)x = 3
Multiply by 10 to eliminate fractions:
6(x + 1) - 5x = 30
Expand brackets:
6x + 6 - 5x = 30
Combine x terms:
x + 6 = 30
Subtract 6 from each side:
x = 24.
The integers are 24 and 25.

If x is the lower of the two integers, then the integer that comes after x is x+1. So we have:
(3/5)(x+1) - (1/2)x = 3

Solve this for x to find the smaller of the two integers, then add one to find the next consecutive integer.

Let x be the integer; Next consecutive number is (x+1). Then the expression becomes

3/5(x+1) - x/2 = 3

Multiply by 10 on both sides

6(x+1) - 5x = 30

6x + 6 - 5x = 30

x = 30 - 6

x = 24. Therefore the integers are 24 and 25

3/5(x+1) - 1/2(x) = 3
(3/5 - 1/2)x + 3/5 = 3
(6/10 - 5/10)x = 15/5 - 3/5
1/10(x) = 12/5
x = 120/5
x = 24
x+1 = 25

So your answers are 24 and 25.
