Go to PetsMart, or PetCo, or your local pet store and yes they will have some natural ways to get rid of the smell.

One product "T.K.O." (Totally Kills Odors)works VERY well, we've used it alot since we have lots of animals, it can be used for food ,blood, urine, grease or other protein stains or on linen, fabric, carpet, and yes, it gets the smell out by breaking down the proteins in the urine or oils from the animal or ?

It's all natural and biodegradeable but the actual product you wouldn't want kids to drink or eat because it's made from several enzymes . Just like you wouldn't want them to drink Lysol or eat a bunch of baking soda!
If you can't find it locally they will ship it, I get mine from the distritbutor that sells to the local pet shop.

if its your dog, your whole house smells, not just the couch. there are soo many remidies. kennel the dog in a cool or warm place while ur gone thus preventing from him from just laying around for hours in one spot. as well as bathe and brush the dog ofter, every two weeks, especially in the summer months and if he spends lots of time outside. alos you can steam clean either yourself or stanley steamer can come and warranty. then scotch gaurd. and last but not least and my fave thing to do every night nand onncce a day is light a bunch of insence. i light about 8 at a time each night and eventually that smell introduces itself into your fabrics and even is appearant while aat the front door standing outside. i get many compliments on it. ok gonna go light some incense now

I would first vacumn the couch. Then wipe it down with cold, clear water. Then use a lite smelling fabric softener diluted with cold, clear water again. Then I'd spray with Febreze.

Rub it down with a few fabric softner sheets...Bounce works best. You can also rub them on the dog when he comes inside and he'll smell all nice and clean and you can avoid the problem with the furniture.

Sprinkle baking soda on your sofa in the evening before bed, the next day vacuum your furniture the smell should be gone...Also, if possible try and wash your cushions if they come off..Wash on cold with woolite and hang to dry...
