It goes in cycles. The first time it happened it was very unannouced..I would get weird cramps but it would be in my upper stomach in the middle, I would feel dizzy and gross. I couldn't eat. In about 3 weeks I lost like 20lbs. everyone thought I had an eating disorder. It would stop me from literally being hungry and i would get sick to my stomach if I even attempted to eat. I also had a loss of energy, I was constantly sleeping and I was lethargic. I also had a day when I was freezing even though it was hot out and I felt like I was being stabbed all over my body. I couldn't get up and had to go to the hospital. I went to get a sonagram and they found nothing-said that I had a lot of gas from not eating but that was it. Now it's starting to happen agian. Does anyone know what it might be and does it sound serious? Help!

Also had a nasty spell of nosebleeds in the morning for three straight days-the doctor said it was a head cold.

Does the stabbing pain come and go?
Have you noticed you get the pain more when you eat certain things?
Do you feel like you have a cold sweat?
If yes than it may be pancreatic or pancreatic stones, or gallstones. That would explain a lot. Try WebMD.com and input your symptoms, the site is usually pretty close. Then I would say see a gastronenterologist or your regular doctor for some blood work and tests. I have had similar issues and I know it is bad- good luck!

r you regular?
Sounds like gas.. yes... but are your Poos hard or soft... or both and irregular?
If you are not regular... try an apple a day! No joke... the fibre in an apple will help you have regular stools.
Eat more vegetables... corn is great... because you should be able to trace them in your stool in the next morning. If they don't show up until two or more days later... you are DEFINITELY NOT REGULAR! And then... search on the things you can do to make your diet better.
good luck,..... and keep monitoring your diet and symptoms.
in fact right them down... such that your doctor can review this info in case of an emergency.
take care

I've had a LOT of stomach troubles (related to diabetes.) You definitely need a specialist not a general practitioner/pediatrician. If I were to bet, I'd say ulcer, or as a second bet, maybe food allergy, lactose intolerance, something like that?
Track what you eat every meal on a calender, and how you feel. Maybe something sets you off for a few days afterwards.

I would recommend getting another opinion, and preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the dr that you currently see.
Because of the dizziness I would recommend going to the ER. It's very possible that you could be dehydrated (which can cause some of the symptoms you are noticing).

You may have stomach ulcers and when certain foods irratate it will hurt to eat. From what you said that explains the pain and then the lack of food explains the little energy you have. Go to a doctors and ask if you have stomach ulcers.

See your Dr., actually one that specializes in gastroenterology and if nothing is done, get a 2nd opinion. You need more than a sonogram to diagnose what is wrong. The gastroenterologist will run different tests related to your stomach, intestines, and colon.
