2 Questions: Will You Use YA New Troll Blocking Feature & If So Who Is The Most Annoying You Will Block?

I thought about blocking why are you so upset aka the secure american, icognitowtruck, squak squak chickenhawk and a host of other ID's he has been violated on for emailing posters with sollicitations for unatural sex acts...but in the end I thought I would save YA the server space since blocking his multiple IDs would be costly.

A better feature would be a "why you are so upset" email blocker...numerous YA posters receive emails from this fool solliciting all kinds of weird stuff..he emailed me once wanting to know if I would date his wife.

You've hit this one dead center...the above mentioned freak has some serious issues and has emailed me as well with some outlandish crap.But, he has one redeeming trait...well, no, he actually doesn't, now that I think about it. If I were to block anyone he would be the one...but I won't, he's his own worse enemy,a pathologic idiot and loads of fun to humiliate...

No of course not, to use this would defeat the purpose of debate, it would in fact diminish significantly the rights of all AMericans. I think only cowards hide behind stuff like this, unless of course they have something they want to hide.

YOu do know the reason for this user blocking?

A serial stalker, has been chasing women, trying to intimidate and threaten them. Yahoo was put on legal notice and their records will be subpoenaed by a State AGs office for prosecution of this crime.

I really find it pathetic that someone would follow women around on this site and try to intimidate them, it is a clear sign of really sick individual.

Anyway, no I will not use it, no need to.

I probably will not use this feature. All speech is acceptable in the USA, and to me, except to Yahoo!, and for Don Imus.

Nope as I do belive in free speech, and lets face it some of the trolls around here give me a lot of laughs with their stupidity and their anti American arguments, its best to know who these people are, but if I did I would block Just Good Folk and some non Americans

I would only use it to block the people who report for no valid reason other than they disagree with my answer or question. There have been no policies or standards violated, yet they report. As far as ignorant or insulting answers or questions, i love them. Why would I want to block someone from showing their ignorance. As far as thumbs down, I guess I'm not doing a very good job if I'm not getting to someone enough to get a few of them, either.

With all due respect to a few of my Friends, on here? I am gonna Block a few people. I'm on this site to get answers!!! Not show off some ego. Or give someone a chance to show their ignorance. Damn Right, I'll be Blocking a few. And they know who they are, too!!

That depends... how far does the block go? I don't mind reading idiotic answers, but I'd like to be able to block certain people from e-mailing me, while leaving the option open to others...

I haven't block anyone so far, and I really don't plan on using it unless someone just is heckling me to no end.

I probably won't block anyone unless they're harassing me. I like to listen to what everyone has to say, regardless of how annoying/ill-informed they may be.

Anyone who uses a picture of hitler, che guevara, stalin, god or the devil as their avatar. Signs of a weak mind.

Anyone who calls himself George Bush, JFK, bin Laden, or uses a name referring to any part of his/her anatomy, or any other name that a mature person would NOT use.

I hope it works. There are about a dozen that will get my block immediately.
