A bit, yes. The economy is growing, and inflation is ongoing, so the total amount of the debt baloons dramatically, even if the actual burden of it is about the same.

Yes and No. Yes the fact that our debt is at the highest level than ever before, but not the highest when compared to GDP. But our deficit compared to GDP although not historically at its highest level is still high enough to cause concern if we do not control the spending.
