the only problem is the brakes will just act normal just like any car ever built since the car was created, if you know how to drive you don't even need anti-lock brakes, they are nice on occasions when your on ice and the wheels won't lock up but there are sometimes where you think you are never going to stop when it activates too, personally I really don't like ABS.

the car will still stop - maybe not as quickly in a panic situation - and you won't be able to steer out of trouble with locked wheels skidding - the cost of repair might change the feeling of the car being a good bargain

I've had an occasion where anti-lock braking saved me from an accident and helped the car steer while braking. I'm sold on the feature and wouldn't personally leave the condition unrepaired.

Not knowing what kind of car you are driving makes this a loaded question. During my road tests on vehicles I have an occasion for an ABS failure (00' saab) and noticed the phenomenon of rear wheel lock up. It appears there is no provision for a rear proportion valve on these 4 wheel disk brake automobiles. Same thing on Volvo. I feel that cars with ABS do not stop properly if the ABS unit is not functioning. I personally feel that ABS brakes are unreal! I've also found some manufactures work beater than others.

actually! u may still stop but if the anti lock sytem fails its for a reason.its designed to relieve brake pressure so if u slam the brakes and its broken, you could either A. not have enuff pressure to stop due to the valve stickin open or B. the wheels lock and you cant turn. my valve got stuck open so i couldnt stop from a 70mph roll, the e-brake cant even help u at that speed. have it repaired asap!

maximum caliper bracket bolts have loctite on them and torque is particularly significant climate they do or do no longer, those that have a thread locking compound on them could have a yellow or orange/rust colored polymer on the threads. I reuse the caliper bracket bolts and setting up dry climate they have this substance on them or no longer and characteristic no longer had a topic with them coming loose, even regardless of the undeniable fact that in the event that they have thread locker on them it can be a solid theory to a minimum of coat the threads with loctite 515-518 in common terms for piece of suggestions. maximum heavily torque those bolts to specification, do no longer wager until eventually you have extra adventure. Loctite won't blend with anti-grab so which you will could desire to scrub thoroughly the bolts and knuckle until eventually now employing it, in case you verify which you extremely decide to apply a thread locker.

No! They were made to work. If they are not working, you are getting a bum deal!
