I love seeing ancient ruins. What's the most amazing site have you seen?

I too am interested in history and love seeing old ruins as well as other remains from times gone by. England is full of them; castles, ancient walls, cathederals, ruined abbys, Roman baths and many other things. France has their share and then some, too. We've seen quite a few of these first hand.

As the most *amazing* site, though, I think I'll vote for Chichen Itza, in Mexico. Take a look:

We vacationed in Cancun (very nice!) and took tours to other parts of Mexico. The remains of the Maya civilization are truly remarkable. They were so different from our civilization, yet capable of constructing fantastic creations.

We also greatly enjoyed swimming in the clear waters at Tulum, but that was fun instead of amazing.

We have indian ruins all over the state. There is on old cliff dwelling that is a whole city built in a horazontal goudge in the cliffwall about 200 feet off the canyon floor. I forgot the name of the site but could easily find it.

There's a place in BF Paranaque called Mall By The Ruins. They sell imported stuff like clothes & shoes.

--- Oh, you were asking about ancients ruins, sorry.
