Invite a friend over to watch a movie with you. Talk until you get sleepy and maybe have some hot tea or a hot bath to relax you. After a good night's sleep, take some deep breaths and go in for the tests.

Best of luck. Don't worry about tests b/c worry can't change anything.

I never got my results from those tests at that visit. I was told that if there was any concern they'd call. It's possible that will be the case for you as well.

Best advice I have is to bring someone with you or a book to read or another activity, because even if you aren't getting the results right away - you may still have to wait for the doctor/midwife.

Relax, if you haven't been having sex with multiple partners, the probability is pretty low that you will have any std's or HIV. As for the other tests, they are just checking to be sure you have a healthy immune system, and that your hormones are at the correct levels to maintain your pregnancy.

Whatever the answer, whether it be positive or negative you will be better off knowing the outcome. Some STD's are curable and some are not; either way knowing the results will help your pregnancy be a healthier one.

Bring a friend or someone with you to distract you. If you have a portable DVD player, bring a movie with you. Good luck, I hope it all turns out well.

well if you have been protected and didnt have many partners..stop stressing...
if you did have lots of partners and were protected you have stuff to worry about.

BUT you need to think about your baby. some can be life threatning to the baby and you may or may not need treatment if you have something.. better to be safe then sorry...

If you didn't have random sex with people and smoke meth you wouldn't have such trouble. I'd worry more about your lifestyle and how you are going to impprove it before your child arrives.
