I have a wooden front porch that is painted white. It is very dirty and needs to be cleaned/washed.

What type of chemicals if any should I use to clean it?

I use a heavy duty push broom and a bucket of soapy water dishsoap and I scrub the porch and hose it off..Just remember to not get the soap on the lawn it could kill it...Or you can use a mixure of simple green a non toxic cleaner in a bucket.

I agree with pebblespro I would use the simple green alone. It is made with natural products an non toxic. I would dilute with water. It is a good degreaser too. It will not hurt your lawn too.
