I am not. It has nothing to do with any off of the field hijinks either. The fact of the matter is he's an average quarterback at best who might be better suited to playing another position.
So he ran for 1,000 yards. Who the hell cares? He's been in the league since 2001 and he's still horribly inaccurate and any defensive mastermind can come up with the formula to beat him (re: Tampa Bay Bucs in 2002). And the excuses that get made for them are just irritating ("he's still learning the game"--IT'S BEEN SIX YEARS SINCE HE WAS DRAFTED).
I'm a big believer that QB takes several years to learn, and that many great QBs didn't develop until after 4 seasons, but I see no evidence that Vick is even improving as a pocket passer. The media doesn't want to let go because they jumped onto his bandwagon because they bought into the silly hype that he was going to revolutionize the QB position and other than running for 1,000 yards, he hasn't, because he can't pass worth a damn despite having a rocket for an arm.

No. He's overrated. He can run that's for sure. However, QBs are generally evaluated by most people in terms of how well they pass.
He has never passed for more than 2,936 yards in a season and never had a completion percentage above 56.4%.
The Falcons have been able to get by with their rushing attack in the past but when opposition teams put the game in Vick's hands in terms of throwing the ball, he came up short more often than not.
Having said this though, he may well flourish as a passer in the new offense he is working in this year. Obviously the West Coast offense wasn't a good fit for him.

If he was an actual QB I might respect him....but he's just a running back who takes the snap...He's never thrown for 3000 yards and 20tds in one season, something every legitimate QB should be able to do at the very least

Sure we all want a QB who uses drugs, holds dog fights and flips off the very people that pay his salary. Plus who wouldnt want a QB who can't stay healthy and get his team to the playoffs. He's perfect fit for the Raiders.

I separate the song from the guy making it, to an excellent degree. there are diverse rock stars who're jerks, that's part of rock and roll. i think of the n-be conscious is reprehensible, and it shows something deep on the subject of the character of the person. besides the fact that, i does not blacklist an artist from my playlist for having been familiar to utter it as quickly as. extraordinarily through fact that Costello is British, the place the be conscious isn't community. there have been racist musicians, and homophobic ones, and ignorant ones. in many situations the worst offenders are additionally not very sturdy musicians, so no quandary comes up. yet "total Lotta Shakin' Goin On'" is my well known song between men who married 13-three hundred and sixty 5 days-previous cousins, and there are a number of different super songs via people who're reprehensible characters in actual life. I haven't any project with listening to Phil Spector information, or maybe Charles Manson's albums. they are sturdy or exciting song. i think of the two belong in reformatory. yet those are the boys, not the song. i'm not gonna carry close posters of them on my wall, or deliver them autograph requests or something. yet "Be My toddler" belongs to me and all of us else who loves it, to not Phil Spector. song is song. I mindset it on those words.

NO!! the amazement of a QB that run the ball is just not very appealing anymore. Five years ago he was the man, but he never evolved into a great QB he's just a scrambler.
