You would want a GUITAR cord. A guitar cord has 1/4" plugs at both ends and is suitable for connecting a musical instrument to an amplifier. Not all cords with 1/4" plugs are suitable for connecting your intrument to an amp, an example would be the chords used to connect an amplifier to a speaker. A speaker cable may look right, but would be vey noisy and probably squeal badly, and not have the proper impedence so don't use speaker cables to connect a guitar to an amp.

Get a good quality instrument chord and take good care of it.

Just go to the music store and ask for a electric guitar cord...they are all standard.

Most use a 1/4" phone plug jumper (same plug on both ends)
