Hey I am 11 wks and 2 days and the dr. Told me that my uterus is flipped backwards. I just want to know if anyone else has this issue and if there is anything that I should worrie about, or if there is any thing that I should look for to know when it flips the fight way. If anyone wants to share their past experiances it would be great thanks. (I had an ultrasound at 10wk5days.Everything was measuring right and I got to hear the hb. I couldn't see much though and the dr said it was because it is showing the back side of the baby.)

Well you over came the worst problem - getting pregnant! Some women have trouble conceiving when the have a tipped uterus. Its good your doctor knows now because the measurement of your fundus might have been different than normal.

No need to worry, it is actually QUITE common. It will right itself sometime in the next few weeks as your uterus grows. Just may take a bit longer for you to "show".

It's called a retroverted uterus and it's fairly common. I found out a few years ago I had one during an exam. No one had ever told me about it before (mine's genetic).

I could explain, but it would take forever. I found a really good resource that puts it into layman's terms: http://www.womens-health.co.uk/retrover.asp

Mine was tipped back and it was no problem. I had a normal vaginal birth and my uterus isn;t tipped anymore. It's common, so don't worry.
