People think that if they make fun of your weight, they look better to other people. When they do, just smile and say "it must be sad living like some one who wants to be perfect, but is still so far from it." and walk off. They do it because you're better than they are and it bugs them. :)

In my expericence, I have noticed that people hate in others what they hate in themselves. Chances are, they are insecure about their weight as well. And if it is something that bothers you very much, look at yourself and really examine your behavior. Do you make fun of other people? Do you perhaps make it easy for people to make fun of you? Do you make fun of your weight? (A lot of women do, by the way). We cannot expect respect from others if we do not respect ourselves.

Because people can be cruel. Its a sad but true part of our culture. Best thing to do is get some thick skin and let it roll off of you. I know, easier said than done, but it's survival of the fittest out there.

Because some people are so insecure and hate themselves so much that to belittle others makes them forget about what their own insecurities are. People should watch what they say about you. Take it from me, just be yourself and love yourself no matter what shape or size you are.

I guess some people are just really really cruel, or really really mean, or really really jealous. Just try not to worry about them and just stick with the friends you know won't make fun of you. I know this from experience. Hope this helps!

People are cold, cruel, insensitive, bigots. Unfeeling, uncaring, inhuman! We make fun of what we fear the most! I feel so bad for any child I ever teased for whatever the reason, and I whole-heartedly apologize to the world for my behavior!

It makes them feel better. Don't pay any attention to them. Your weight is not as important as what's in your heart.
