Are you still a virgin if you use a tampon and how the hell do you put it in!?

Okay I'm a vaginal virgin and I would like to not lose it to a piece of plastic. But Pads SUCK they are smelly and gross.I tried to put one in one time but, I gave up because I though I was doing it wrong. any advice?

when i first started using tampons I was putting them in wrong for the first 3 months
here is my advice...
it goes inside your vagina not just in between the labia minor lips
and when you put it in insert the applicator all the way to your fingers (so that your fingers are touching your labia minor
when you have it in right, you wont even feel it. And I recomend tampax pearl they are easy to insert and easy to remove

Directly outside of the vaginal opening are the labia minor, the smooth inner lips of the vulva. Yes you are considered a virgin until ur hymen has broken (aka popping your cherry). When you put a tampon in you need to be really relaxed especially if it's your first time! The box has directions for tampons but remember to pull the entire applicator out. My sister's first time she left the bottom part in and it was very uncomfortable. Hope that helps!

Yes, you are still a virgin even when using tampons. The correct sense of the word "virgin" is someone who has never had sex although it can mean different things in different cultures.

As for the smell of pads, if you change them regularly you can cut down on some of the smell.

When I used to insert tampons I used to sometimes have to insert them by sliding them along my other finger.

I quit using tampons due to a medical condition unrelated to the tampon itself.

You are still a virgin if you use a tampon and the package comes with instructions. It really isnt as hard as you think. I was freaking out the first time i tried cuz i thought it would hurt but then i just did it and it really isnt scary at all!

I would stick to the pads until your body matures a little more,and it may be easier to insert the tampon. Yes you are considered a virgin,if you use tampons. You could try to use KY jelly,NOT VASELINE ! it must be a water soluble lubricant,to safely use in the vagina,infections and a condition called "toxic shock" can develop. Take care. SW RNP

I always used pads until I had sex because I was never able to put it in. I have no idea why. But I've known other girls who had the same problem. I'd say your best bet is to just use pads and change them often enough so that they don't start to smell.
