I have been experiencing a lot of pregnancy symptoms lately including mood swings, dizziness, feeling sick, exhausted all the time, and my breasts have doubled in size. I am on birth control but that is the only protection we use and he never pulls out. Period due in a few days so it's not like I've missed it. Test said I'm negative. Why all these symptoms? I would have thought I had the flu except for the swollen and tender breasts. What's wrong with me?

I am 21 years old and have been on birth control for a while. Thanks to the lesbian who first answered my question just to score two points. Shout out also to the guy that called me a ho. Cleary neither of these people date. I said that he does not pull out because the chances of getting pregnant are much higher instead of just prec*m. So classes will not be needed. Thanks to the girl who suggested that - probably because she took the classes herself. I do appreciate the legit answers so I seriously thank those who responded in the hopes of helping me.

How old are you? Very often a woman will go through a second hormone surge around the age of 20 to 24 which causes the breasts to enlarge, and be sore for a short time, and the rest of the symptoms as well. Test again in about a week, if it is negative, you can pretty much rule out pregnancy.

PMS. Sometimes PMS or menopause symptoms are mistaken for pregnancy symptoms. There have been cases of fake pregnancies where them woman thinks or is afraid she is pregnant to the point that she experiences all of the symptoms even getting a larger belly. I would just wait it out and take another test. Also when you take the test take it in the morning. That is when the hormone is most concentrated.
Not to scare you but you can get pregnant on birth control. Good Luck. Just remember babies are a blessing and there is always adoption.

Psychosomatics. You might be secretly wanting a baby... and think you're having some of the symptoms? It's just a thought. I've seen this a couple of times (and it happened to me as well). OR you could be right- maybe you're pregnant. But everyone is pretty much right when they say it's too early to test. Give it a while and then take a test. If it reads negative again and you're still experiencing the same symptoms, give your OBGYN a call and have yourself checked out. Good luck!

The birth control pill is meant to trick your body into thinking it's pregnant. It is very normal to have symptoms that are similar to early pregnancy. However, if you had sex last Saturday you probably wouldn't be feeling any symptoms due to a fertilized egg so I would guess that those you have listed above are due to the pill.

Since you don't say how old you are then ask your doctor for a thyroid test or if you are over forty the a perotmenopausal exam.
Because you don't know that "pulling out" has nothing to do with stopping procreation then I would suggest taking a course that brings you up to speed on this entire matter. I hope you will do this soon as you are obviously not ready to even be having sexual relations.

It may be stress that is causing you to have pseudocyesis. And it also depends on how long have you been using the pill, and the dosages may be too high or too low for your system. If you have just started taking the pill you may not have given your body time to adjust to it. If your under stress a lot; try to find away to help relieve your anxiety. If the symptoms still persist after your next period; then go talk with your gynecologist about what is going on with you.

The breast thing could be your period coming on. Excluding that, the other things like feeling sick and tired all the time could be anything from diabetes, or just stress. If you aren't late yet, wait until a few days after you are and if still no AF take another test.

Heat? Hormones? Have you been on the pill long? If not that would definitely cause all these symptoms.
Also, breast infection would cause same symptoms, especially the double in size and tenderness. You should go to the Gynocologist and get checked out!!!!

I would go to your doctor or health dept. and tell them your symptoms... they will do a test to give you peace of mind... and figure out why you are, they could change you to a lower dose birth control and that will fix any hormonal imbalance you are having... also if you worry about it from month to month you can develop the symptoms just because you are worried. If that's the case then tell him to use a condom. If you are doing your part in getting on birth control, then he can do his part as well, plus it will protect you from vaginal infection and stds that birth control alone dont protect against.

You can sometimes get these symptoms just before you get your period.
Also, keep in mind that even though you are on birth control, you still could be pregnant. The pregnancy test isn't reliable this early..
