liberals are about killing lives, not saving them. this debate was never about stem cell research, but about the right of liberals to murder as many babies as possible. this is why they never supported adult stem cell research

I donot approve of killing babies, however I am a proud supporter of abortions rights AND stem cell research.

And it is terribly obvious that you know nothing about stem cell research. Here's a thought-go to google.com, type "stem cell research" in the little box there, and learn about it before you speak about it.
Your question is utterly ridiculous and has no merit, and now you can't delete it! Hopefully you'll learn from this the next time you ask an idiotic question.

actually its not about killing babies.. its about using embryos that are going to be destroyed anyways and using them for sicence. its about not wasting things that may be very beneficial. Why stop something that can bring progress to the world. if someone needs a new organ and the only way to get it is to grow one from stem cells- no matter who it is and what they believe will think about themselves before they think about their "morals". Humans are selfish creatures, survival of the fitest.

and when talking about abortion- women need the right to choose. wether its the right choice or not is not what should be argued.. and many kids that end up in the foster/ adoption system have a very difficult life. not everyone should have children. and like someone said before- it isnt like EVERYONE will run out and get an abortion just because they can.. people didnt do it before and they wont now.

thats just my 2 cents..

You obviously have very little grasp on the concept of stem cells.

I suggest you do a search. Read up on it. Then come back and post something that better reflects your newfound education on stem cells.

(little hint....if we could easily take skin cells and turn them into *any* cell of the human body, embryos wouldn't be used anymore. The first choice is not to "kill babies" which is moronic to even suggest that.)

you are taking it out of context. i know i could never have an abortion, but if a women chooses to i can't see the problem with the fetus (not baby) being used to help with some serious conditions people have to deal with now if they can prevent it in the future. it isn't much different than a baby that has died during birth giving it's organs to help others depending on how you look at it.

Stem cells can be used from the thousands of surplus fertilized embryos in fertility clinics. Bush vetoed the bill that would use them. Now, they'll be disposed of with the rest of the medical waste. It's not about abortion, it's about a principle of when life begins. Some people would rather dispose of what they consider thousands of human lives than see them used to find cures.

Riiiiiiight... 'cos, like, if we totally had the choice between SKIN and KILLING BABIES for stem cell samples, we'd still opt for the latter.

Give me a break. It's illegal to kill for stem cells.

Uh, I got a news flash for ya. Stem cell research does not kill babies. Been living in a cave? Or do you only get Fox news where you live?

That was in mice. A lot of things have been done with mice that haven't subsequently worked with humans - and a lot of things have - so it will be some years before we find out if it works with humans.

It still wouldn't make up for the years of research lost to christian superstition here in the US, though.
