I hate it when anyone outsources. whether government or not. why? because they usually outsource to countries where the majority cant speak english well enough to engage people in conversation.

Maybe I don't watch enough news, but I didn't know the government was outsourcing (we are talking about the U.S. gov't, right?)
It's bad enough that corporate America has practiced outsourcing so much. . . what a smack in the face if our own government is taking jobs from U.S. citizens & sending them overseas.
Edit: Doh! I didn't think about outsourcing within the country. And I agree with the next answerer. . . what a waste!

The H-1B visa program has been criticized for displacing substantial numbers of experienced American citizen technical professionals or lowering wages enough to encourage them to abandon careers in targeted fields such as computer technology.
Business has already used up 2008 visa's
Hilary wants to substantially increase the number of visa's because " Americans need to be better educated"
Her speech was given at silicon valley to company executives. She is not the only one that wants to increase or double it.
People from India and China are taking American jobs. Companies can pay them less money make bigger profits and too bad for the American worker
I'm in the technical field so my answer is Companies have very skilled people in the United States
They pay off the politicians, CEO's get the multi-million dollar bonuses then they get to layoff thousands of Americans

I dont know about fed gov outsourcing per se but I have seen plenty of state gov outsourcing in my state by our transportation department over the last decade.
Now instead of lazy state workers taking forever to get things done (but doing a good job when they finally do get it done) we have contractors overbilling and cheating us out of taxpayer money and doing a poor job often times.
On one road project I remember contractors billing the state for broken down equipment they had to tow to the job site and pretend they were using it.

They are outsourcing. Some states are considering other
countries to manage our highways, for example.
It takes jobs away from Americans & makes gigantic
corporations, wealthier.
It's a freakin' disgrace.

There should be no government out sourcing. All government work should be done by government employees, hired to do these jobs. If there are not enough, its time to hire more.It is to easy for big business to steal from our government to allow this practice to continue.

It seems treasonous to me. It's also stupid. I don't see any foreign governments outsourcing jobs to our country - they are doing what's best for their own country. I wish our government would do that for us.

The Government dosn't outsource anything to other countries. Only to Civilian Contractors. Private Industry does when labor here is too expensive or work is better elsewhere. We would all do the same.
Thank you Labor Unions for making it too expensive to build products here.
Thank you outcome based education for teaching our kids about sex ed. and my 2 moms instead of reading, writing and math.....
It's called competition, and the Government has NO control over it.
