Careers in banking/finance which don't involve accountancy?

Question

I wouldn't mind a career in one of the above as long as I don't need to do CA or CIMA qualifications. Which area should I look at?

I would have thought that accountancy is rather a central requirement ....

Still I guess they must have all sorts of support services eg. IT & Help Desk staff, Secrataries etc.

... or perhaps Customer Service or Sales ? (they never seem to be able to add up :-) )
