I was thinking of buying a Nintendo Wii, however, I am worried it will be a waste of money if it is too difficult to use the controller.

Has anybody bought a Nintendo Wii? How difficult is it to use the controller?

I own a Wii and two controllers. They're not difficult to use at all. They take a little getting used to with some games, but there will always be games with bad controls -- whatever the system or controller.

I find the controller easy to learn, harder to master. I say this because it translates every movement of the remote into the game (example - bowling - the more you twist the remote when u move it in a swinging motion the more spin you put on the ball).

I have found hours of enjoyment out of my Wii already, and the Wii sports game it comes with is GREAT!!!!

Hope that helps.

The controller is the best thing about the Wii, it responds to your movements and what makes all the games worth while and alot of fun to play....I have had the Wii since before Christmas and it is great...

It all depends on the game. Games like Wii sports are as simple as you'd think tehy'd be.
Games liek SSX Blur, however, require a bit of skill to get down the controlls.

I thought the same thing but it doesn't take long at all to get used to it. I now like using that type of controller much better than using the classic styles. Motion sensor or not it's really cool to be able to use a controller like that

It's really easy. You will get the hang of it after a couple of minutes. Get the Wii. It's really fun for you and the family and friends. :)

The ease of use is one of the main selling points of the wii. The controller is so easy to use, even a caveman can do it (don't get offended, all you cavemen).

Nah, it's real easy once you get used to it (which takes like 2 minutes). I got a friend who has one, me and him play it all the time and it's easier to use than any of the other game system controllers. I would know 'cause I've played every other game system.
