Ok. So it is true that a high percentage of Americans are obese and at high risk for diabetes etc. However, I think Meme Roth could have been a bit more tactful about the way she said it especially about a seventeen year old and the American idol because since she is a teenager plus she is the American idol that clearly means she has a lot of young teenage girls who love her to death. So yes it is a good idea to get her in shape so she can be an example to them but if other girls her age and size hear these comments the only thing that goes through their mind is the word "fat". Everything that Meme has said translates as "fat" to most teenage girls. And that's where all types of eating disorders and low self esteem begin. All I am saying is when delivering messages to young teenage girls you have to be careful how you do it. I understand it was her intention to draw attention to a problem that needs fixing in America but do not shatter a girls self esteem as well as those who look up to her. If Meme had said it differently, more tactful as I said before and considering the implications it would have then I would have no problem with it. Otherwise, in trying to fix something, she totally screwed up. This will affect her reputation and credibilty because I am sure for all the campaigning she is going to do about obesity, no one will want to hear her because they think she is a b***ch. I don't know if you read this but there was an article about her disposing food at the YMCA. Google it and check it out.

Extreme thirst, weight gain or weight loss, cravings for sweets or starches are all symptoms of Type II diabetes.

People who don't exercise are also subject to hypertension and stroke, heart and kidney disease.

We need to eat better and exercise more. In the US we eat the treats of each of the cultures that came to this country, and ignore the healthy foods from those same cultures. That's why we're all fat and the people in the original countries are all svelte.

And yes, that girl from American Idol is a walking poster child for an unhealthy diet and lifestyle.
