I dont think its fair at all.....but i guess if you have money you can do whatever you want.....im sure there are plenty of people that did what she did thats sick in jail....but they wont be able to stay in a million $$ home for 45....thats hardly punishment for anyone!! They should make her stay in a Motel 6

as for paris, from what i read today in the usatoday, she should have been out of our countries "revolving door" judicial system sooner, the only reason she was in as long as she was was because she is a celebrity and the courts were trying to show that they wern't going easy on stars so they threw the book at her HARD. fact is most people would have been out in less than 48 hours.

Supposedly she was "sick". Hm...I say she was sick of being in that rat hole by herself. People like Ms. Hilton hardly know a day without a crowd of people. Just the thought that she had to look at her ownself in the mirror and see THE TRUTH for a change (nobody hanging on her elbow telling her how wonderful she is, how beautiful she looks, etc.) probably sickened her to death. Let's hope she doesn't find a guinea pig to slip that ankle bracelet on so she can get out and party. Think maybe she might have learned something from those couple of days?

Bah! I cannot believe I'm about to defend her. Truth is it is not he fault she lives in a crime ridden area and the jail is so over crowded that most non-violent offenders are let off just for showing up (if she wasn't famous she probably would not have spent one second in jail). It isn't her fault that drugs and gangs problems plague LA so bad that the sheriff has to make decisions as to who he can let stay in his jail. But she would be stupid not to take advantage of what fell her way.

She didn't try to lawyer it up. She at least showed up to do her sentence, not her fault the jail lacks the will to let her serve her time. I do hope she has learned something from this.

I don't think she should be given special treatment for being rich, but on the flip side she should not have to do more for being rich either. Me personally, I think I'll avoid LA. The place is obviously out of control.

Who cares??. Are you really scared to walk the streets because she isnt in jail.

What no one realizes is that she should not have gone to jail in the first place. If you or I did the same thing, we would of had our suspension extended or maybe have our license revoked. No one has ever been given jail time for this type of probation violation stemming from a first time DUI.

Also if you were the one in jail, I'm sure that you would be thrilled if your attorney found a way to get you out.
