Good Day. The incident with a President who runs afoul of the law is much different than the American citizen. Presidents are considered the leaders of the country and therefore have very special privileges when it comes to the things they get 'caught' doing. Remember? As soon as Nixon resigned, President Ford 'pardoned' him which meant, he would not have to serve any time or suffer any consequence for his actions. The most that happened to him and to Ford was many of the public citizens lost much respect for him. And when that happens, a lot of Presidents, just retire into hiding and you don't hear too much about them. Now he is dead. Paris Hilton, though going 'home' cannot, according to the police, can go as far as the 'mailbox' in her home - meaning that she has to stay around. She is supposed to wear an ankle bracelet that is monitored to alert the officiers if she has gone outside of the alloted premises.

Absolutely unfair. The rest of the inmates should get the same privilege. Where is the All Men are Created Equal maxim Americans take for granted?
